Knitted Knockers

L & B Yarn Co. is very excited to announce that we have been added to the list of providers of Knitted Knockers! Knitted Knockers are special handmade breast prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other procedures to the breast. Traditional breast prosthetics are usually expensive, heavy, sweaty and uncomfortable. They typically require special bras or camisoles with pockets and can’t be worn for weeks after surgery. Knitted Knockers on the other hand are soft, comfortable, beautiful and when placed in a regular bra they take the shape and feel of a real breast.

Knitted Knockers can be adjusted to fill the gap for breasts that are uneven and easily adapted for those going through reconstruction by simply removing some of the stuffing. Knitted Knockers asks that we use the patterns listed on their website and the approved yarns. The yarn used for Knitted Knockers is very important as they are to be worn against scarred, sensitive skin. L & B Yarn Co. has some of the yarns included on the approved yarn list including: Cascade Ultra Pima, Bamboo Pop, and Cotton Supreme DK. If you are interested in donating a Knitted Knocker just click here to take a look at the patterns and the approved yarn list. When you have completed your Knocker just drop them by L & B Yarn Co. and we will get them shipped out for distribution!
