The Serrato Scarf by Universal Yarn Design Team is a bright lightweight knit for summer. The scarf is worked sideways from the tip out using a solid and variegated in Lumen. Rozetti Yarns Lumen is a 79% cotton, 21% viscose that can be machine washed and tumbled dry on low heat. The bright multi paired with a solid creates a pin stripe pattern.
Binding off on the edge every few rows adds a fun ornamental edge to the bottom of the scarf. The yarn has a bit of shimmer that moves in and out of the yarn adding texture, great to wear during the day into the night. When changing colors, knitters will use the intarsia method. Bring the new color up and around the old color preventing any holes from forming in the work.
L & B has 3 colorways to choose from in neutrals to brights!! To take a look at the pattern just click here.
We fell in love with The Diagonal Summer Scarf by Susan Mills the first time we saw it! The diagonal stripes are created by blending four different colors of Classic Elite Yarns Bella Lino. Every colorway of Bella Lino is dyed on a natural linen base, so any colors used together changing colors randomly will blend organically, resulting in unique and subtle stripes.
Customize the size, from a simple scarf to an oversized wrap, to create a piece that best works your wardrobe. Just remember adjusting the width will also adjust the length. L & B worked this scarf over 50 stitches on the diagonal working stripes of stockinette and reverse stockinette.
This scarf is simple enough for seasoned beginners and fun for more advanced knitters because of the way the colors blend. To take a look at the pattern just click here.
