I love the textures and shaping in Lightning Strikes by Amy Gunderson! It’s so fun creating this symmetrical shawl using asymmetrical knitting techniques. This shawl is knit using two different yarns that look completely different.

L & B Yarn used Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Superwash and Universal Yarn Bamboo Bloom Handpaints. Deluxe Worsted Superwash is a worsted weight 100% superwash wool that you use when knitting the short rows. The short rows build up flat irregular stripes throughout the garment.

Bamboo Bloom a thick and thin, matte and shiny, acrylic, bamboo, and wool blend that adds so much texture and interest to the finished shawl. The bind off is worked back and forth across the edge of the piece, the yarn overs that are added while binding off give the fringe perfect even placement.
