The Stripe Magic Scarf by Universal Yarn is a super quick project! You only need one ball of Uptown Bulky and one ball of Uptown Bulky Amplify. The Amplify has huge yardage (197 yards) so if you have two balls of Uptown Bulky you can make two whole 6′ long scarfs.
The yarn is 100% acrylic so these scarfs are great for washing. The Amplify is a self striping patterned yarn and the regular Uptown Bulky is a solid. You switch between the Amplify and Uptown Bulky every two rows giving the scarf a multi-colored stripe effect. If you have never tried Uptown Bulky before you won’t believe what a soft hand it has, I promise you will love it!! Click here to take a look at the pattern.
A new shipment of Manos Alegria just arrived with 20 colors to choose from including this beauty Manglar. Alegria is a fingering weight, 75% wool, 25% polyamide with a hefty 445 yards per hank. Manos Del Uruguay is a member of the World Fair Trade Organization. The aim of the organization is to bring economic and social opportunities to rural women.
I love this lightweight version of L & B Yarn Co.’s original paper poncho. The dropped stitches make it more open and airy, perfect to throw on over your favorite summer tank! We knit this one out of 3 skeins of Berroco Remix. Remix is a super soft, non-wool tweed yarn made from recycled fibers.
This machine washable yarn is made up of nylon, cotton, acrylic, silk and linen. The yarn is a great weathered tweed option without the wool. The pattern is great for knitters at any level, there are only a few different stitches you need to know and with minimal seaming it knits up quickly.
We received 7 colors of Remix in our latest Berroco shipment. Come by the store to pick up your favorite color, or call us to place an order 405-310-3636. The pattern is free with your purchase of the yarn!

This chainette yarn is a summer-y blend of cotton and silk, that is so, so, so, incredibly soft to the touch. Take a look at the pattern by clicking here.

I love the 3 Color Cashmere Cowl by Joji Locatelli. L & B Yarn Co. decided to knit ours up in a lightweight spring yarn, Hempathy by Elsebeth Lavold. The yarn is a hemp, cotton, and modal blend and is going to be fabulous with my spring wardrobe. L & B has 12 colors available to choose from in the original solid and 8 colors available in the new variegated Hempathy Prints.
This knit flew by, it was one of those projects that I didn’t want to end. The pattern changes periodically making you want to keep knitting so you can see how the next pattern looks in the yarn. I used 5 balls of Hempathy (2 pale silver, 2 bleached white, and 1 vibrant lemon) I literally used up every inch of the vibrant lemon but I had enough to finish that section.
Blocking this project went very well, the yarn is machine washable and I washed it on gentle cycle and then laid flat to dry. This yarn knitted up nicely and even more exciting is it washed beautifully. If you haven’t tried this pattern yet check it out by clicking here. You won’t be sorry that you did!!
The Crochet Infinity Cowl a design from Queensland is great throw on with anything and go project! You can really have fun mixing the two different colorways of Queensland Cairns a bright and fun 60% cotton and 40% acrylic.
The pattern is great for beginners who already know how to chain and single crochet. If you are a veteran crocheter you will enjoy how the colors blend together to make a true work of art.
L & B crocheted ours out of color number 1 and color number 3, it only takes one ball of each.
If you know how to crochet but aren’t sure about working in the round or changing colors we are offering a class on this project in April, just click here to find out more! Click here to take a look at the pattern.
