I am so excited about the toy drive for Positive Tomorrows! There are so many adorable creatures on Ravelry just waiting to be made. When I spotted Wasabi by Susan Claudino I knew I had to get started on him immediately. I knit him out of 1 hank of Rios by Malabrigo and he turned out just as I imagined him.
Rio means “river” in spanish so Rios is named after the four major rivers in Uruguay. The name also signifies the yarn’s wash-ability, it is a super soft pure merino superwash wool with 210 yards per skein. If you are interested in knitting or crocheting a toy to donate be sure to take a look at all the adorable patterns by Susan Claudino, just click here! Toys can be dropped off at L & B Yarn Co. until August 31st and for every toy donate you will be entered to win a $25 L & B Yarn Co. gift card!
